The project's primary role was to implement the integration and community-wide adoption of new "Business as Usual" (BAU) principles and knowledge, focusing on innovative tools and methods in the co-creation and stakeholder engagement process: next-generation Hackathons. The solution was developed bottom-up for the Green Just Transition (GJT) in Bologna. Activities also led to the organization of investment forums to promote the developed green transition solutions, generate investment interest, and promote the GJT dashboard. To expand cooperation and learning from networking and experience sharing, local authorities were involved: the municipality, its province, and the Emilia-Romagna region, of which the city is a part. This was done to enhance the benefits of networking and information exchange and to enable greater capacity to manage—and explore innovative financing methods—green and just transition initiatives toward greener housing, both in the city and in surrounding rural areas.
